[ Maybe there's something about guys from space and magic ladies, i d k. ]
Just now, I got a weird Cuddlr message from a guy I know from the Ark. I thought it was a guy, but it was actually a snowball. I know that sounds weird.
It looks like an accident, but I'm waiting for a response.
The snowball apparently likes me on Cuddlr....
That's remarkable. I've read about witches with all kinds of powers. I associate someone who only has power over one special element more with the gods and goddesses.
Magic in my world takes all kinds of forms. Some people are naturally born with it, like my best friend and her mom and people like Fairy Godmother. Magic can be learned, though, through things like spells and potions. My mom taught herself all kinds of things and, well, I'm kind of trying to get a hang of some things, too.
Well, some people are just doomed to be assholes, I suppose.
( gasp, the shock and horror of a disney channel princess using such language. despite being a villain kid, it does make her blush a bit. )
A few incantation-type things that I can channel through my magic mirror to make it do what I want, mostly! I've dabbled in potions a bit with my best friend, too, which aren't really that different from doing chemistry labs, if you think about it.
[ it's kind of strange. a part of him wants to hold onto the bitter feelings towards bellamy, to channel some of what clarke had put towards him, but he thinks he can sense some changes. it's hard to say for certain until they actually speak to each other.
anyway, the swearing – it's endearing. he grins to himself. ]
See, that I can wrap my head around. I've always liked science. I'd like to see it in action.
I've heard some people here say that magic is just science unexplained.
I'd love to show you sometime. I mean, it's def a work in progress but I'm trying to keep practicing while I'm here. There are a LOT of really awesome and talented magic users here so it's kind of like motivation to get better!
I think my best friend Mal is getting lessons from my — from Regina? She's another queen with a lot of magical abilities, too. I figured maybe I'd see how that goes for them and then maybe I could ask...
Oh!! Goodness, would you? I'd love to meet her, at the very least, even if I totally just got a little nervous thinking about it. She and her sister and their story are totally famous in my kingdom.

You're the best. :)
Well, it's probably a lot more complicated than what everyone always says, but Queen Elsa has snow and ice powers, as we know, but she hid them from the world for a really, really long time. It wasn't until her coronation that she slipped up and like, totally scared everyone with her magic and kind of just ran off and did her own thing up in the mountains and made this AWESOME castle completely out of ice! Eventually her sister found her and the guy that was trying to get rid of both of them to take control of Arendelle was stopped somehow. I don't know the full deets.
And like, I don't really know how it all went down since it happened before I was even born, but Arendelle isn't a part of the United States of Auradon that King Beast formed when he united all of the kingdoms and sent all of their respective "villains" to the Isle — I mean, where I'm from. That guy from Queen Elsa and Anna's story, Prince Hans, isn't on the Isle as far as I know... I kind of suspect that Queen Elsa wasn't cool with sending a person off to a remote island as bad as ours, no matter what they did. And if that's the case, I respect her even more.

[ bellamy told wells everyone in arendelle would make it snow. what a liar. ]
So, she's a legend in a way, especially if her kingdom is separate from Auradon.
[ this is rife with political intrigue. he hadn't expected that. ]
That sounds like a benevolent queen. Considering that she had given someone I know a living snowman, though I know that's not much to go off, it doesn't sound like she would execute that kind of punishment.
That Isle doesn't sound all that fantastic. I can't see how any ruler would be okay with doing that, even to their enemies.
evilette on March 26th, 2016 07:37 am (UTC) right like elsa would totally think that shit is fucked up
Yes, exactly! From what I've heard, she's just lovely.
But no, the Isle is really awful. I mean, besides the general isolation because of the magical barrier and the magic suppression ... They send us the scraps of food that they don't want in Auradon to eat, they send us broken or half-used products like all the makeup that my mom was constantly hoarding, they send us clothing that's no longer wanted, or is in too much disrepair to wear anymore...
I mean, I really liked almost everyone that I met when I was sent to Auradon Prep. But they're supposed to be the "good guys", right? I've always wondered about the kind of example that they've set for THEIR kids. It would explain a lot about some of the nastier kids I went to school with, I guess.
uprights on March 27th, 2016 05:36 am (UTC) ikr, she could have killed hans instead of letting anna punch him lmao
It almost sounds worse than punishment on the Ark. I'm sorry that you had to live through all of that. You still turned out great, in any case. :)
Those in the "right" aren't always ... right, I've learned.
[ the ellipse lingers on the screen for a moment longer. ]
My father's the Chancellor of the Ark. Well, he was, but it's a complicated story I'm still learning about. He did a lot of things for the sake of everyone on board, but many suffered because of it.
evilette on April 26th, 2016 01:19 am (UTC) returns to this a month later whoops
( the chancellor? it sounds like an important title. maybe wells is the prince of her dreams. the compliment and the smiley face do much to ensure that. )
I'm sorry to hear that. :(
It seems that even those with the best intentions can't always succeed in making things go the way they hope.

[ there isn't much of a note except for To Evie, From Wells. delivered first thing in the morning to evie's doorstep is a bouquet of – what else? – vibrant blue roses. ]
